Description

Optical transceivers come in a variety of architectures, data rates, and ranges for different applications. Examples are XFP, SFP (1 Gb Ethernet; 1x, 2x, 4x Fibre Channel), 300-pin MSA (SONET/SDH), Xenpak/Xpak/X2 (10 Gb Ethernet,
10G Fibre Channel), and the emerging SFP+ (8x Fibre Channel, 10GbE LRM).
