 Clock Recovery Measurements
Description
Most gigabit communication systems send data
that is coded so that the clock signal is embedded
within it. Recovering the clock is a task for both receivers, and
frequently also measurement equipment analyzing the data stream.
While conceptually straight-forward, the effect on measurements
can sometimes be subtle. The requirements of standards compliance
measurements can also be complex. Our aim here is to provide you
