The PCIe^® Test Bench by BERTScope is the comprehensive answer to testing PCI Express, whether at 2.5 or 5 GT/s, transmitter or receiver testing. This new toolbox covers transmitter PLL response, and a host of features to help not just compliance, but development and troubleshooting, too.

Right out of the box, the Test Bench comes with all of the test capability and accessories you need to make compliance measurements and to take your testing further.

The PCIe Test Bench by BERTScope comprises the following:

• A BERTScope Analyzer with all of the features of the BERTScope S, including the XSSC (extended SJ and SSC generation) option, and with new features dedicated to PCIe 5 GT/s testing and beyond:
• Stress elements for 5 GT/s receiver testing built in, including rSSC of triangular wave with parabolic rounded peaks
• Transmitter measurements for one-button compliance ease
• The CRJ with PLA option – the most flexible clock recovery solution available, with jitter spectrum measurement to 90 MHz. The PLA option provides transmitter PLL characterization including loop bandwidth and peaking.
• All of the items needed to provide complete testing including:
  • A compliance baseboard suitable for 2.5 and 5.0 GT/s testing, pre-configured for using a high quality external 100 MHz reference clock.
  • A PCIe compliance channel with the correct voltage ratio and return loss characteristics specified in the standard.
  • 2.5 GT/s automated transmitter compliance software
  • Cables, adapters and filters to allow testing even in the presence of spread spectrum clocking: SSC-matched cables, multi- to single-lane adapter, rise time limiting filter
